Wiesental

40 years of family German Shepherds

About

For many years we have striven to breed these wonderful dogs to become members of loving families, and dogs who can be trained for obedience, tracking and agility trials.  As well, many of our dogs have made us proud in conformation shows, both specialty and all breed.

GSD140 On this site you will find many of our dogs, past and present, both titled competition dogs and happy family dogs. We raise a litter on occasion only, and our dogs must be a part of the family. Our puppies are always raised with our grand children, and are never brought up in a kennel.
GSD154 At Wiesental we produce one litter every couple of years or so. Both parents are X-rayed clear for hip and elbow dysplasia, and must show good temperament.
GSD153 The puppies are born and raised in a home environment, are thoroughly socialized, and receive all necessary vaccinations.
GSD185
Occassionally we have long coated puppies, and we love them just as much as their normal coated littermates. They take a bit more work to groom them and keep them clean, but their beauty makes it worth the effort.

Haida was our first German Shepherd Dog, our family dog and first brood bitch. She had a beautiful, strong head with a beautiful earset, great presence and nobility.

Haida’sr sire, Ivo vom Alexyrvo Hof, was a Klodo ad Eremiten Klause and Vello zu den Sieben Faulen grandson, and her dam, Wana of Cara Mia, was bred by Mary Southcott. Wana’s sire was another early German import, Karlo v Heiligenmoshlerberg.
Haida whelped 3 litters. Her first was sired by Mr. Keller’s import Zapp zum Sturmbusch, her second was sired by Mr. Loeb’s Brix v Park. Her last litter was to CH Salenchar’s Brinn vom Liebestraum, a Lance son.

Cita was bought by my friend Dawn Campbell, who bred her to CH Frack
from Rosshaus, producing at least 3 Champions. Unfortunately Cita
died at a very young age during a sad accident.

I bought Jubi from Dawn Campbell at 8 weeks. She was closely linebred on GV Lance of Fran Jo ROM. Her sire was CH Berwall’s Calabar, a Lance son, and her dam was Wiesental’s Cita ROMC, a Lance granddaughter.
Jubi produced numerous Champions, pointed progeny and a great working dog in “Fidelio” UD TDX 8 pts (Zeuss). Jubi was a great family dog and great friends with Cora, the female puppy we kept from the C litter.
